Aims

Rehabilitation may be necessary following both musculoskeletal injury & surgery. The aim of all rehabilitation programmes is to return each individual back to full function without concern regarding reinjury or performance level. Programmes & advice are tailored specifically to your needs & take into account availability of time, equipment & previous exercise experience.

Types of Exercise Used

These types of exercise form most rehabilitation programmes:

  • Cardiovascular

  • Muscle strength training

  • Muscle endurance training

  • Proprioception & balance

  • Stretching

  • Functional (sport/activity specific)

If suitable             based exercise programmes can be devised to assist with rehabilitation & reduction of pain.

Exercise Programmes:

Your exercise programme will be progressed following discussion between us until a stage is reached where reinjury or injury of another part of the body is highly unlikely to occur. Although we cannot legislate for impact injuries during sport or trips/falls & many more!

Rehabilitation advice & design of a programme can be provided within a treatment session or a separate appointment depending on your needs.
